Lately, these months, I've been passing in front of the same bakery. That place smells SO good. It is like a warm smell of childhood and nostalgia. The smell is the same as the sundays afternoons at my grandma's home. So, after weeks I asked my mother for the recipe, I wanted that cake so hard that I couldn't wait any longer to cook and eat it. My mother sent me this: "I found the recipe book here, if you want to! There is the famous "Grandma's carrot cake"!!". So here goes the recipe:
Cake's ingredients:
How To Do:
1. Pre-heat the oven at 180° Celsius. Use the butter and the wheat flour to grease and sprinkle the pan and leave.
2. Grate the carrot with the biggest part of the grater. Chop the nuts.
3. Sift the wheat flour and the baking powder, after add the nutmeg, ginger, cinnamon cloves and nuts. Mix well.
4. Break the eggs, one by one in a little bow, to not lose the whole recipe, and put with the dry items. Put brown sugar and mix it with a wire whisk, until it is with foam. Put the oil and mix well.
5. Put the carrots little by little and mix with a spatula delicately.
6. Put the mixture on the pan, put it on the oven and leave it to bake for about 50 minutes. Tip: To know if it is well baked, pierce with a toothpick. If it is clean, it is well baked, if not you can leave ir there for more time.
7. As it is well-done, wait for it to cool down. And it is ready to eat!
Note: The book shows at least 4 different types of fillings, but i think only the cake is already amazing! If you all want to, i can post the fillings.
I did it here and it smell was as good as my Grandma's, the taste was the best too! Hope you all like it!
